Zachary  White competed at the 2010 American Royal in Kansas City, MO, in November. He was fortunate enough to be able to ride the brilliant Saddlebred gelding,  Freakness, owned by Double G Farms in Louisville, Kentucky.   Zach and Freakness competed in the UPHA 10 Years and Under, Walk-Trot Challenge Cup National Championship  where they won the Reserve National Championship!  Thanks to trainers Lisa and Jacque of Strickland Stables for all their help and for allowing Zach this wonderful opportunity to show such a great horse.  As Zach said, “It was a great way to end the show season!"

October, 2010

Lisa was honored to judge the National Academy Finals in Murphreesburo, TN.  Young and older riders from all over the country met in Tennessee to compete in classes measuring their riding skills.  The competitors were all beginning riders sharing one common trait…an enthusiasm for riding!  All the horses, like the riders, came from lesson programs.  The setting provided a great venue for measuring the quality of horses and riders.  As Lisa commented after the show, “What a wonderful experience!  The enthusiasm of the riders was equaled only by that of the instructors!  It was a beautiful weekend in Tennessee and I enjoyed every minute of it.
